Update on weight loss injections

At present, GPs cannot prescribe Wegovy® (semaglutide) or Mounjaro® (tirzepatide), as within our Integrated Care Board (ICB) area, these medications are only available through a Tier 3 (specialist) weight management service. Unfortunately, North Central London (NCL) ICB does not currently commission a Tier 3 service.

We are awaiting further guidance and commissioning decisions from our ICB and will update patients and clinicians as soon as new information becomes available.
