Practice Survey

Please see sample of questionnaire used for the survey. This was designed by the practice and discussed with the Patient Participation Group. Any ideas and suggestions arising from meeting with the PPG were incorporated into the final survey. A total of 100 questionnaire were handed out , 72 received back. Opinion was sought for GP partners, Salaried GPs, Nurse, healthcare Assistant and reception staff.

-Long wait for routine appointments, although this is a big problem everywhere.

-Staff are very helpful and friendly

-Waited 45 minutes to be seen even though we had an appointment.

-The doctors, reception, nurse are excellent.

-Nurse is very lovely she did very well to make me feel relaxed during a smear.

-Friendly and informative-Excellent

-Sometimes difficult to get through on telephone to make appointment.

-Lovely surgery, nurse is especially good with children

-I have always found the doctors,erceptionists and nurse very helpful.

-I have been extremely happy with the care I have received at this practice, from the reception staff to doctors, everyone is pleaseant and helpful.

This survey confirms that largely patients are satisfied with the access, opening times, reception staff, nurse, doctors and the practice generally.

We have always had a lot of patients telling us casually and during consultations that they are happy with the practice.

Any dissatisfaction is dealt with speedily and to the satisfaction of all parties.

To see certain doctors, patients have to wait 2 weeks for routine appointment. The doctors are fully booked and to maintain safe and effective practice, we cannot increase daily appointments for these doctors.

In some of our neighbouring practices, patients have to wait 4 weeks for a routine appointment.
